Set-up

Building a 20 foot kayak in your house may be an ill-advised idea; however, we decided that it would be the most convenient place for us to do this project. Finding a 23 foot x 5 foot stretch of clear floor space was a little problematic, though. We finally decided to build the boat in our front foyer and living room. Had to move a little furniture, and we couldn't use our front door, but the inconveniences were relatively small.

One note: we DID make sure that we could get the kayak out of the house before starting the build. The plan is to send it out the front window when completed.
